A Little Bit About Kristin

The Beginning
Kristin worked as a designer, front-end developer, and project manager for over 7 years at her first agency in the Chicago suburbs. And yes, that is a lot of hats! She worked her way up from an intern to a senior web designer, often training and overseeing new employees.

Many of the projects she worked on involved a full custom design along with either coding in HTML, CSS, and Javascript, or creating custom child themes in WordPress. She was often brought in during the sales process and became the main point of contact through the completion on the project. 

Finding Focus
After getting burnt out wearing so many of the hats mentioned above, she decided to move solely into project management where she could still be involved with the website creation process, but from another angle. Her background in design and development gives her a unique advantage as she is able to forge strong relationships with design and development teams due to her understanding and respect for both roles.

Kristin worked as a PM at a creative agency where along with website builds, she was also able to manage various print, merch, app, and product design projects. 

Her next agency role introduced her to the wonderful world of Shopify and all things ecommerce! Being a part of larger website builds and gaining valuable knowledge and experience in the ecommerce space with strategists and retention marketers, she knew she found her space.

This Shopify agency experience led her to go brand-side and manage her company’s Shopify Plus website and online presence. From ongoing content and product updates, to app integrations, SEO improvements, and collaborating with A/B testing specialists, her skills have continued to evolve as a PM and in the ecommerce world.
